Flogga — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Flogga ("the app") is a personal resale-valuation tool. This page explains what data it collects and why, in plain terms.
What the app does
You take or upload a photo of an item. That photo is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which identifies the item and estimates a resale price and best-fit UK reseller platform. The result is shown to you in the app.
What data is collected
- Photos you submit — sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. They are not stored by Flogga after the request completes.
- A device identifier — a random ID generated and stored on your own device, used only to enforce a fair-use monthly limit per device. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account, because the app doesn't have accounts.
- IP address — used briefly and automatically by Cloudflare (the infrastructure provider) to prevent abuse, such as one source sending too many requests too quickly. This is not linked to any personal profile.
- Purchase information — if you buy a valuation credit pack, that transaction is handled entirely by the store you downloaded Flogga from: Google Play Billing on Android, or Apple's App Store (via RevenueCat) on iOS. Flogga does not see or store your payment details — the store notifies the app only that a purchase was completed, so credits can be added.
- Item and listing history — to let your data carry over if you reinstall or use another device, Flogga automatically stores your purchase/listing history (item names, condition notes, any notes you add, prices, and dates) under a personal sync code, generated automatically the first time you use the app. This is stored for up to approximately 400 days, and is only retrievable by someone who has your specific sync code.
- Anonymous item statistics — after a valuation, some facts about the item itself (its name, category tags, condition note, estimated price range, suggested platform, and how quickly it seems likely to sell) are logged for internal analytics, such as seeing which kinds of items are commonly valued. This is never linked to your device identifier, sync code, IP address, or the photo itself — it cannot be traced back to you or your device.
What is NOT collected
- No name, email, or account sign-up
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers or ad tracking
- No sale of any data to third parties
Third parties involved
The following service providers are involved in making the app work:
- Anthropic — processes submitted photos to generate the valuation. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts the app and its backend, briefly processes IP addresses for abuse prevention, and stores the anonymous item statistics described above. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Play Billing — handles payment for valuation credit packs on Android. See Google's privacy policy.
- Apple (App Store/StoreKit) and RevenueCat — handle payment for valuation credit packs on iOS; RevenueCat validates the purchase with Apple and tells the app a purchase was completed, without Flogga seeing your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy and RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Data retention
Photos are not retained after a valuation is generated. Device usage counters (used for the monthly fair-use limit) are automatically deleted after approximately 40 days. Anonymous item statistics are kept indefinitely for analytics purposes, but — as they are not linked to any device or identifier — there is nothing about them that could be looked up or deleted for a specific person, since no record can be traced back to any individual user.
Your choices
Since there's no account, there's nothing to delete on our end beyond what's described above. Uninstalling the app removes the locally stored device identifier and any saved passcode from your device.
Children
Flogga is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect data from children.
